The brief
As part of a mich bigger full branding project we were asked to help align the High Street presence of Fenn Wright in Essex and Suffolk to their forward thinking attitude and the new branding we had developed.
The brief asked to work initially on the start-up office in Kesgrave then over time the chosen design would be rolled out across six further branches. In Ipswich, Colchester, Stanway, Chelmsford, Witham and Manningtree (both Chelmsford and Ipswich are now finalised). This was futher extended to developing the branded invironments for both the new property shops at Sudbury and Woodbridge.
What we did
Initially we conducted an audit of high street estate agents in Essex and Suffolk. Unsurprisingly, we found that in the main estate agencies outside of the M25 are not really very welcoming places. Shops more focussed on making a sale than helping people to find their next home.
Our solution was to develop a much brighter, more contemporary environment expanding the flat, two dimensional colour palette we’d already developed to work in three dimensions. Bringing in bold, contrasting textures, pale lino against vibrant green circular carpeted ‘zones’ helped the brand come alive ‘in-shop’.
We created a series of light and airy spaces with curving walls, attractive showcases and large statement, comfy chairs. Moving all the sales desks back to allow prospective home buyers to feel welcomed. When twinned with other elements of the brand that we have created, this delivers a more relaxed and pleasant experience for buyers, sellers, and staff.
